Day 1 | Departure for Spain
The group departs for Madrid, filled with excitement for the upcoming adventure. This overnight flight marks the beginning of a journey that will blend education, discovery, and cultural exchange. Meals Included: None
Day 2 | Madrid
Upon arrival in Madrid, the group will be welcomed and transferred to the city center. After time to settle in, students will enjoy a guided visit of the Royal Palace—one of the most spectacular palaces in Europe and a symbol of Spain’s royal heritage. The day concludes with a festive welcome dinner, offering a first taste of Spanish cuisine and time to connect as a group. Meals Included: Dinner
Day 3 | Madrid
The day begins with a visit to the Royal Alcázar and its iconic tower, where students will explore centuries of Spanish history through architecture and storytelling. In the afternoon, the group will have the option to visit either El Escorial, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former royal monastery, or the Valley of the Fallen, a controversial and thought-provoking historical monument. Day 4 | Family Stay (Córdoba)
After breakfast, the group will transfer to Madrid’s Atocha train station to board the high-speed AVE train to Córdoba. Upon arrival, a local guide will lead a tour of the world-famous Mezquita (Mosque-Cathedral), an architectural wonder that reflects the region’s diverse cultural influences. A walking tour of the city’s historic center will follow. In the evening, students will meet their host families—an exciting step into local daily life and language immersion. Day 5 | Family Stay (Córdoba)
Students will start the day by visiting a local Spanish school, where they’ll observe and participate in school life and connect with local students. Later, they’ll take part in a hands-on cooking class, learning how to prepare traditional Spanish dishes and enjoying the meal they’ve created. The day wraps up with an energetic flamenco class taught by a local dancer—an unforgettable dive into one of Spain’s most iconic art forms. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 | Family Stay (Córdoba)
Today’s excursion takes the group to the enchanting city of Granada. The day features a guided visit to the Alhambra, Spain’s most visited monument and a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. Afterward, students will enjoy free time to explore the lively market, the Cathedral, and the picturesque Albaicín neighborhood, known for its narrow cobblestone streets and spectacular views of the Alhambra. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 | Family Stay (Córdoba)
Students will spend the entire day with their host families, engaging in local customs and everyday life. Whether it's enjoying a family outing, helping prepare a meal, or simply spending time at home, this day provides authentic opportunities to practice Spanish and build meaningful relationships. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 8 | Family Stay (Córdoba)
Another day with host families allows for deeper cultural connection and comfort in the immersion experience. Many students find this to be one of the most impactful aspects of the program, as it fosters real understanding and personal growth. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 9 | Family Stay (Córdoba)
The group will set off for a full-day visit to Seville, the vibrant capital of Andalusia. Highlights of the day include visits to the stunning Seville Cathedral, the Giralda bell tower, the historic bullring La Maestranza, and the iconic Plaza de España. Students will explore how art, architecture, and history come together in one of Spain’s most beautiful cities. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 10 | Madrid
In the morning, the group will say goodbye to their host families and travel back to Madrid by AVE train. Once in the capital, there will be an opportunity to visit one of the city’s world-renowned museums, such as the Prado or the Reina Sofía, depending on the group’s interests. Entry fees for the museum are covered via program payouts. Meals Included: Breakfast
Day 11 | Return
With bags packed and memories made, the group will transfer to the airport for their return flight home—carrying with them new friendships, greater language confidence, and a deeper appreciation of Spanish culture. Meals Included: Breakfast

Spring Payment Schedule
Billing and Payments: Xperitas will email a bill for the final payment approximately three weeks before it is due. For all other payments please refer to this schedule. A payment reminder will be sent to you via email a week before a scheduled payment is due. Payments can be made by credit/debit card via the Xperitas portal or by check or money order payable to Xperitas.
Cancellations: Any cancellation made through October 1, 2026 will receive a refund of the amount paid minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made after this date will be calculated on an individual basis at the time of cancellation and follow the schedule and terms below.
