Hola Madrid is a 10-day program that introduces students to Spain through structured language immersion, cultural landmarks, and everyday life with local host families. This purposefully designed Spanish student travel program begins in Madrid with guided visits to the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, and historic neighborhoods where Spain’s artistic and social history come into focus.
Xperita’s Spanish immersion program in Spain extends well beyond sightseeing. Students take part in a full-day excursion to Segovia to explore Roman engineering and medieval architecture, experience an evening of flamenco, and then transition into their Family Stay Experience®, where Spanish is practiced daily through meals, conversations, and shared routines. This balance of guided cultural discovery and home life allows language skills to develop naturally and with confidence.
By combining iconic destinations, regional traditions, and immersive family stays, Hola Madrid offers a well-rounded approach to student trips to Madrid. The program supports meaningful cultural understanding while helping students grow more independent, engaged, and comfortable using Spanish in real-world settings.

Day 1 | Departure
En route to Madrid

Day 2 | Madrid
Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Visit the grand Palacio Real and explore the masterpieces housed at the Museo del Prado. Relax at an outdoor café in the Plaza Mayor before enjoying an Xperitas welcome dinner.

Day 3 | Madrid
Enjoy an all-day excursion to Segovia. Explore the ancient Roman aqueducts and the impressive Alcázar de Segovia. Return to Madrid for an evening flamenco performance.

Day 4 | En Route to Family Stay
Travel to your family stay community and begin daily life with your Spanish host family.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner
Days 5–8 | Family Stay
Live with your host family and practice Spanish through everyday routines, conversations, and shared experiences.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 9 | Madrid
Return to Madrid to explore el Madrid de los Austrias and enjoy final sightseeing before packing for home.

Day 10 | Return
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the United States.

Prices are based on a minimum group size of 10 students. If the minimum is not met and your group cannot be combined, a small-group supplement will apply. Final pricing is determined by confirmed dates, air arrangements, family stay communities, program components, group size, and number of leaders at final billing.
Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.

The partners in Costa Rica are fabulous! Everything was well-organized, and kids were always engaged. Our guide, Jimmy, truly is an educator and ambassador of his country. All of the students and leaders really enjoyed his personality, love of his country and knowledge. The Family Stay Experience was also very wonderful!
