Day 1 | Departure

En route to Munich. Meals Included: None

Day 2 | Munich

Spend your first day in Germany exploring Bavaria’s beautiful “Stadt mit Herz.” Wander through the charming Altstadt, where cobblestone streets lead you past centuries-old architecture, lively cafés, and boutique shops. Be sure to pause at Marienplatz to watch the world-famous Glockenspiel, a delightful performance of chimes and dancing figurines that bring Munich’s history to life. In the evening, soak up the city’s warm hospitality and sample local specialties at traditional Bavarian restaurant. Meals Included: Dinner

Day 3 | Munich

Visit the baroque Schloss Nymphenburg. Find tasty dishes for lunch at the lively Viktualienmarkt. Tour Olympic Park and visit the Deutsches Museum or the BMW Museum. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 4 | Munich

Enjoy an exciting day close to the German Alps visiting King Ludwig's famous castles - Neuschwanstein castle and Linderhof palace! Experience the charm of German Alpine villages like Füssen or Garmisch-Partenkichen. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 5 | Nuremberg

Travel from Munich to Nuremberg via train. The historic medieval city of Nuremberg is one of Germany's most important centers for arts and culture. Walk along the historic city walls and try Nuremberg's sausage specialty - a Rostbratwurst. Visit the famous Albrecht Dürer Haus – it’s the only artist’s house in Northern Europe that still survives in largely original form from the Renaissance. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 6 | Family Stay

Now the real adventure begins! Travel to your family stay community and spend six memorable days with your Deutsche Familie. Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Days 7 - 11 | Family Stay

Immerse yourself in the German culture by experiencing everyday life with your host family! It’s your opportunity to use your language skills in real-life situations and make new friends. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Days 12 - 13 | Berlin

You won’t want to leave, but it’s time to bid your host family farewell and head to the capital! Visit the Brandenburger Tor and Checkpoint Charlie, while pedaling your way around Berlin on a guided Fahrradtour. Don’t miss the 360-degree view from the glass dome of the Reichstag. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 14 | Berlin

Ride the S-Bahn from Bahnhof Zoo to Alexanderplatz. Explore the historic streets of Mitte and modern Potsdamer Platz. Visit Potsdam and marvel at Schloss Sanssouci. Reflect on the last two weeks with your Mitreisenden at your Xperitas farewell dinner. Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 15 | Return

It seems too soon to say tschüss, but it’s time to board your plane and return to the United States. Meals Included: Breakfast

*Prices are based on a minimum group size of 10 students. When the minimum group size is not reached, a small-group supplement will apply. Final prices are determined by dates, air arrangements, family stay communities and other program components as confirmed by Xperitas, as well as the total size of the group and number of leaders at the time of final billing. Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.
