14-Day Program | Students of the French language and students of the German language unite for this 14-day trip to both France and Germany. A unique language immersion experience begins for your student group upon your arrival in Paris. Spend some time getting to know the “City of Lights”, then check out the Alsatian city of Strasbourg. Then, students will put their language skills to work while experiencing everyday life with a French or German family. Language skills learned in the classroom come to life in this in-depth language immersion experience in France and Germany. Our unforgettable Family Stay Experience® allows students to become temporary locals and appreciate the French and German lifestyle. Students live, speak the target language, and learn about cultural exchange in a very authentic way. The adventure continues with the wonders of München und Bayern. Day 2 | Paris

Bienvenue à Paris! Get acquainted with this graceful city's cobblestoned streets, charming cafés, and vibrant neighborhoods. Stroll through Montmartre to the white domed Sacré-Coeur. Revel in the enchanting "City of Lights" while you stroll down the Champs-Elysées. Enjoy the priceless treasures of the Louvre, visit the awesome Cathédrale de Notre-Dame, and so much more! Meals Included: None

Day 3 | Paris

This morning you'll travel like the locals on an RER train to Louis XIV's jaw-dropping palace at Versailles. Explore the immaculately manicured palace gardens on foot. Climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower and get a bird's eye view of the city. Later, enjoy a free evening chatting in French with a waiter, street vendor, or new local acquaintance. Day 4 | Paris

Enjoy one last day of shopping and sightseeing in incredible Paris. Seek out a lesser known but equally interesting attraction such as the Musée Marmottan Monet, housing Claude Monet's 1872 Impression, Sunrise, the painting for which the Impressionist movement was named. Take in the city by night during your Bateaux Mouches Seine river cruise. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 5 | Strasbourg

Hop on the train to Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region – can you already spot the German influences? Spend the day exploring this beautiful city on the Rhine River. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 6 | En route to Family Stay

Travel to your homestay community in France or Germany! Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Days 7 - 10 | Family Stay

Immerse yourself in the French or German culture by experiencing everyday life with your host family! It’s your opportunity to use your language skills in real-life situations and make new friends. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 11 | München

You won’t want to leave, but it’s time to bid your host family farewell and head to München! After checking in to your hotel, explore the Altstadt and be sure to see the world-famous "Glockenspiel am Marienplatz." Pedal your way around München on a guided Fahrradtour. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 12 | München

Take a full day to explore Bavaria’s beautiful “Stadt mit Herz.” Visit the baroque Schloss Nymphenburg. Enjoy a lunch of Weisswurst at the lively Viktualienmarkt. Tour Olympic Park, the Deutsches Museum or the BMW Museum. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 13 | München

Enjoy a journey through the beautiful Bavarian countryside while stopping to visit one of King Ludwig’s castles! Finally, celebrate your experiences together at your Xperitas farewell dinner. Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 14 | Return

Say goodbye to Europe as you return to the United States. Meals Included: Breakfast

Spring Payment Schedule

Payment and cancellation schedule:

Billing and Payments: Xperitas will email a bill for the final payment approximately three weeks before it is due. For all other payments please refer to this schedule. A payment reminder will be sent to you via email a week before a scheduled payment is due. Payments can be made by credit/debit card via the Xperitas portal or by check or money order payable to Xperitas.

Cancellations: Any cancellation made through October 1, 2024 will receive a refund of the amount paid minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made after this date will be calculated on an individual basis at the time of cancellation and follow the schedule and terms below.

Enrollment Information

*Prices are based on a minimum group size of 24 students. When the minimum group size is not reached, a small-group supplement will apply. Final prices are determined by dates, air arrangements, family stay communities and other program components as confirmed by Xperitas, as well as the total size of the group and number of leaders at the time of final billing. Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.
