Day 1 | Quito
Arrive in Quito and meet your in-country guide. Transfer to your hotel and rest up for the adventure ahead. Meals Included: None
Day 2 | Quito
Begin your immersion experience with volunteer work at the Center for Working Families, an organization that supports working families through education, financial literacy and empowerment. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3 | Quito
Continue your service learning at the Center for Working Families and build meaningful connections with the local community. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 4 | Quito
Take in panoramic views of the city from the Teleférico before heading to the Mitad del Mundo. Stand on the equator and explore the cultural and scientific significance of this iconic site. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5 | Quito
Begin the day at a bustling local market within the historic city center. After, feel the rhythms of Ecuador in your salsa dance class. For lunch participate in a cooking class where you'll prepare a traditional Ecuadorian meal. Later, explore the Museo Guayasamín. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 | Otavalo
Travel north to Otavalo to explore the largest artisan market in South America. Visit a weaving workshop in Peguche, admire the stunning Cascada de Peguche, and enjoy a live demonstration by a family of Andean musicians. End the day with a quick stop in Cotacachi, famous for its leather goods. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 | Mindo
Journey to Mindo and kick off your stay with a zipline experience through the cloud forest canopy. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool before attending the unique “frog concert” during a nocturnal nature hike. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 8 | Mindo
Hike to the region’s scenic waterfalls in the morning and enjoy more leisure time in the afternoon. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 9 | En Route
Visit Mindo’s butterfly garden and say goodbye to the cloud forest before heading back to Quito. Depart late in the evening for your overnight flight. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 10 | Return
Arrive in the United States. Meals Included: None

Spring Payment Schedule
Billing and Payments: Xperitas will email a bill for the final payment approximately three weeks before it is due. For all other payments please refer to this schedule. A payment reminder will be sent to you via email a week before a scheduled payment is due. Payments can be made by credit/debit card via the Xperitas portal or by check or money order payable to Xperitas.
Cancellations: Any cancellation made through October 1, 2025 will receive a refund of the amount paid minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made after this date will be calculated on an individual basis at the time of cancellation and follow the schedule and terms below.
