Reflections on the 2025 Global Leaders Conference

Every year, we eagerly anticipate the Global Leaders Conference (GLC), and 2025 was no exception! The last weekend in January, we had the pleasure of welcoming our dedicated educators and program leaders to Minneapolis for an immersive and enriching experience. More than just a conference, the GLC is an opportunity for teachers to connect with fellow travelers, meet their Program Managers and international partners, and engage in valuable discussions that set them up for success in the coming year. 

Xperitas is committed to supporting our traveling teachers in every step of their immersion journey. The GLC provides hands-on preparation that equips educators with the tools and confidence needed to lead successful programs abroad. Throughout the weekend, teachers attended specialized workshops, walked through their upcoming travel immersion program itinerary, and gained insights from experts in the field. 

Our breakout sessions allowed educators to dive deep into the logistics of their 2025 immersion programs, from itinerary reviews and travel logistics to family stay coordination.

Attendees participated in interactive sessions covering topics such as stress management during student travel, making the most of the Xperitas Language Commitment, and providing effective feedback to enhance language growth.

Megan Budke, a leader in world language education, shared invaluable insights on how educators can provide meaningful feedback that fosters student engagement and progress.

Some of our most experienced leaders shared their best practices, answered questions, and provided actionable advice for both first-time and veteran program leaders.

Beyond the workshops, attendees had the chance to unwind and connect with fellow educators over a reception, trivia, and Saturday night fun with WhirlyBall and bowling!

At Xperitas, we know that leading a student immersion program is a significant undertaking, and we’re honored to work with such dedicated educators. That’s why we take every opportunity to celebrate and support our teachers.
