Hello Xperitas participants and leaders,
We hope the school year is off to a great start and that you are getting excited for your upcoming travel adventures in 2023! We are very excited that you have enrolled in a 2023 Xperitas program with your school group.
For 2023 travel, Xperitas has Covid-19 protocols in place, which we would ask that you review carefully. Within these protocols is a Covid-19 vaccine requirement for participants to ensure the safety of the individual traveler, the student group, host families and other individuals that travelers will come into contact with while abroad. In addition, this requirement is in place so that the group completes the itinerary as designed without interruption, delay or cancellation.
All participants must be fully vaccinated according to the Centers for Disease Control’s definition.
The definition of fully vaccinated, according to the CDC, is as follows:
Fully Vaccinated: At least 14 days have passed after administration of a single dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or 14 days have passed after administration of the second dose of any other acceptable COVID-19 Vaccine.

In addition, we STRONGLY recommend that all participants are up-to-date with boosters according to the CDC to further protect each traveler, the student group as a whole, host families abroad, and to reduce Covid-related issues and interruptions before or during the language immersion program.
Important deadlines to note:
Spring 2023 travelers must upload a copy and details of their Covid-19 vaccination card to their portal by January 1, 2023.
Summer 2023 travelers must upload a copy and details of their Covid-19 vaccination card to their portal by March 1, 2023.
