Spanish Language Immersion Through Madrid, Sevilla & Granada

Take Spanish learning beyond the classroom on a 15-day journey through some of Spain’s most fascinating cities. Students explore Madrid before traveling south to discover the history, architecture and traditions of Andalucía.

The journey includes an excursion to Segovia, time in Sevilla and a visit to Granada’s Alhambra. Along the way, students practice their Spanish in everyday settings while experiencing the distinct character of each destination.

The Family Stay Experience® is at the heart of this Spanish immersion program. Students spend six days living with a Spanish host family, putting their language skills to work as they experience daily life in Spain.

Program Details

Price

  • $3,769 per student PLUS cost of international flights*
  • For every six students the cost of one leader is included in the price.
  • For every enrolled student on your program, there is a $50 leader stipend to help leaders offset expenses while abroad
  • Students can save $200 with Our Early Bird Discount!

*Travelers do not need to arrange their own air. Air travel is included in the program, but the cost will be added once the group air contract is confirmed. Price is valid for 2027.

  • Airline baggage fees
  • Variance in air cost due to changes in group contract after booking or if the group size prevents using the booked air contract

  • Activities and excursions listed on the itinerary but not included in the program inclusions, to be paid using the student entrance fee allowance
  • Passport, visa, or other document costs
  • Transportation to/from departure city

Add-on Travel Coordinator

The role of the Travel Coordinator is as follows:

  • Provides explanation, historical information, and commentary
  • Supports the group getting to and from activities and sites
  • Manages logistics (transportation, schedule, tickets)
  • Serves as the primary on-the-ground support and problem-solver

What You’ll See & Do

Day 1 | Departure
En route to Madrid.
Meals Included: None


Day 2 | Madrid
Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Begin exploring Madrid on foot, taking in the plazas and fountains of Old Madrid while learning to navigate the Metro de Madrid. Enjoy an Xperitas welcome dinner.

Day 3 | Madrid
Visit the splendid Palacio Real and explore the treasures of the world-renowned Museo del Prado. Later, relax at an outdoor café in the Plaza Mayor.

Day 4 | Madrid
Enjoy an all-day excursion to Segovia. Explore the historic city, including its massive 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct and the Alcázar. Visit el Monasterio de El Escorial en route.

Days 5–6 | Sevilla
Travel to Sevilla, stopping in Toledo to visit its massive cathedral. Arrive in Sevilla in time for an evening promenade along the Guadalquivir River. The following day, explore the Barrio de Santa Cruz and Reales Alcázares before climbing La Giralda.

Day 7 | Granada
Travel to Granada for a guided tour of the Alhambra and El Generalife, with its fountain-filled gardens. In the evening, attend a flamenco show featuring music and dance in the caves above the city.

Day 8 | En Route to Family Stay
Make your way to the family stay community, where students will spend the next six days and nights with a Spanish family.

Days 9–13 | Family Stay
Experience everyday life with your Spanish host family while putting your language skills to work in real-life situations. Students have the opportunity to make new friends and experience Spanish culture firsthand.

Day 14 | Madrid
Return to Madrid for one last evening and enjoy an Xperitas farewell dinner.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner


Day 15 | Return
Transfer to the airport for your return to the United States.
Meals Included: Breakfast

Important Details

Prices are based on a minimum group size of 24 students. If the minimum is not met and your group cannot be combined, a small-group supplement will apply. Final pricing is determined by confirmed dates, air arrangements, family stay communities, program components, group size, and number of leaders at final billing.

Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.

The order of itinerary items may change due to unforeseen circumstances prior to or during the program.
