Supporting Educators Before, During, and Beyond Travel
At Xperitas, we care about the teachers that entrust their student group to travel with us. We provide additional benefits to make sure teachers are supported when taking students abroad.
Xperitas also offers rewards for teachers who travel on our immersion programs and invite others to join the Xperitas family of traveling teachers.
$500 New Teacher Reward
We value the time, energy, and leadership it takes to bring a program to life. To recognize that commitment, new teachers* receive a $500 classroom grant when they lead a Xperitas program, regardless of group size.
*Applies to teachers traveling with Xperitas for the first time whose department has not previously traveled with Xperitas.
$500 Returning Leader Appreciation Grant
We believe long-term partnerships create the most meaningful student experiences. To recognize the dedication of educators who continue to lead programs with us, we’re introducing the Returning Leader Appreciation Grant, launching in 2027.
The main organizing teacher who leads a group with us every year or every other year will receive a $500 reward* as a thank-you for their ongoing leadership and commitment to global learning.
Leading a program takes time, care, and vision. From recruiting students to guiding families and supporting learners abroad, this award is our way of recognizing the impact you make, program after program.
*The grant will be distributed 4–6 weeks prior to your group’s departure, alongside other payouts and leader stipends. Funds will be issued by check or ACH deposit in the name of the lead teacher and may be used at their discretion.
$2,000 Referral Reward
In appreciation of teachers or others who refer colleagues to Xperitas, we offer a $2,000 Referral Reward! Once the referred colleague or friend travels for the first time, we send you the reward. No limit on the amount of referral rewards you can receive.
Who qualifies?
- Colleagues or friends who teach a different language at your school or discipline such as history, science or art.
- Colleagues or friends who teach at any other school.
Classroom Grants
Xperitas recognizes educators who make immersive experiences possible for their students. Teachers who organize and lead a group of 10 or more students on a single Xperitas immersion program abroad receive a $100 classroom grant, plus $10 for each student enrolled.
The group must travel for the grant to be awarded. Grant funds may be used to purchase classroom materials.

The partners in Costa Rica are fabulous! Everything was well-organized, and kids were always engaged. Our guide, Jimmy, truly is an educator and ambassador of his country. All of the students and leaders really enjoyed his personality, love of his country and knowledge. The Family Stay Experience was also very wonderful!
The first day, I immediately went up in a restaurant and ordered my food in full German. That confidence and encouragement from the restaurant staff set me up to feel confident in my skills and I was extremely proud of myself! Be open to new experiences. It’s a whole new culture and way of life, so if you seclude yourself from really cool opportunities, you won’t get as much out of everything!
Immersing students in the language and culture are keys to a successful trip overseas with students, and I can always count on our in-country Xperitas guides to communicate exclusively in the target language with our students while showing them a new culture.
It was really amazing. I got to hang out with my friends and classmates while touring Berlin and then I got to experience German life with my host family. Spending time with my classmates from America in the German school also made it more fun, since I could still hangout with friends and make new ones in a different language. I saw beautiful sights and ate wonderful food and got to see a sliver of German life and a little bit of the world too.
