He would not have taken French for four years if this trip wasn’t planned. And now he is taking a fifth year of French. My son has always been a saver. But having to save and earn money to pay for the majority of this trip was a life-long lesson. He is hoping to visit France and other countries in the future.
Learn Latin in Italy & See Rome, Naples & Ancient Wanders Brought to Life
Roma Caput Mundi is an eight-day educational travel experience rooted in the physical landscapes of the ancient world. This program transforms classroom learning into lived experience as students explore Rome, Naples, and surrounding archaeological sites that shaped Latin language, literature, and culture.
Following the Suburani Latin textbook, this program allows students to follow familiar characters and narratives while walking the very streets where Roman history unfolded. Participants connect Latin vocabulary and grammar to temples, forums, villas, and cities preserved by time.
Our student programs in Italy offer guided exploration, interactive workshops, and site-based learning, where students don’t just study Latin, but truly experience it. This program is a powerful opportunity to develop historical understanding, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation.

See What Teachers Say About Xperitas
The partners in Costa Rica are fabulous! Everything was well-organized, and kids were always engaged. Our guide, Jimmy, truly is an educator and ambassador of his country. All of the students and leaders really enjoyed his personality, love of his country and knowledge. The Family Stay Experience was also very wonderful!
The first day, I immediately went up in a restaurant and ordered my food in full German. That confidence and encouragement from the restaurant staff set me up to feel confident in my skills and I was extremely proud of myself! Be open to new experiences. It’s a whole new culture and way of life, so if you seclude yourself from really cool opportunities, you won’t get as much out of everything!
I was very impressed overall with our experience with Xperitas. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable and the website and other resources were excellent!
The focus on language and personalized touch sets this program apart from the rest.
