Viva Andalucia is a 9-day Spanish language immersion program that takes students from Madrid into the heart of southern Spain. Along the way, students explore historic sites, practice navigating Spanish cities and experience the traditions that make each destination unique.
The program begins in Madrid, where students explore historic plazas, visit the Palacio Real and discover masterpieces at the Museo del Prado. Excursions to Segovia and Toledo introduce students to Spain’s layered history before the group continues south to Andalucía.
In Sevilla and Granada, students experience the region’s distinctive architecture, traditions and daily rhythms. From the Guadalquivir River and La Giralda to the Alhambra and an evening flamenco show, the program leverages language immersion in Spain into real-world experiences.
*Travelers do not need to arrange their own air. Air travel is included in the program, but the cost will be added once the group air contract is confirmed. Price is valid for 2027.

Day 1 | Departure
En route to Madrid.
Meals Included: None
Day 2 | Madrid
Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Begin exploring Madrid on foot, taking in the plazas and fountains of Old Madrid while learning to navigate the Metro de Madrid. Enjoy an Xperitas welcome dinner.

Day 3 | Madrid
Visit the splendid Palacio Real and explore the treasures of the world-renowned Museo del Prado. Later, relax at an outdoor café in the Plaza Mayor.

Day 4 | Madrid
Enjoy an all-day excursion to Segovia. Explore the historic city, including its massive 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct and the Alcázar. Visit el Monasterio de El Escorial en route.

Days 5–6 | Sevilla
Travel to Sevilla, stopping in Toledo to visit its massive cathedral. Arrive in Sevilla in time for an evening promenade along the Guadalquivir River. The following day, explore the Barrio de Santa Cruz and Reales Alcázares before climbing La Giralda.

Day 7 | Granada
Travel to Granada for a guided tour of the Alhambra and El Generalife, with its fountain-filled gardens. In the evening, attend a flamenco show featuring music and dance in the caves above the city.

Day 8 | Madrid
Return to Madrid for one final evening and enjoy an Xperitas farewell dinner.

Day 9 | Return
Transfer to the airport for your return to the United States.

Prices are based on a minimum group size of 24 students. If the minimum is not met and your group cannot be combined, a small-group supplement will apply. Final pricing is determined by confirmed dates, air arrangements, family stay communities, program components, group size, and number of leaders at final billing.
Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.
The order of itinerary items may change due to unforeseen circumstances prior to or during the program.
The partners in Costa Rica are fabulous! Everything was well-organized, and kids were always engaged. Our guide, Jimmy, truly is an educator and ambassador of his country. All of the students and leaders really enjoyed his personality, love of his country and knowledge. The Family Stay Experience was also very wonderful!
