…Xperitas is THE way to travel for language immersion and/or cultural experiences that go beyond tourism and sightseeing. I could not more highly recommend travel with Xperitas.
A Madrid and Barcelona Trip Through History, Rivalry & Modern Spain
Flipando por Madrid y Barcelona is an 8-day educational travel experience designed for student groups eager to explore Spain through its two most influential and contrasting cities. This Spanish language immersion program introduces students to Spain’s political heart and its creative capital, highlighting how regional identity, history, and culture shape daily life.
Beginning in Madrid, students discover royal landmarks, historic plazas, and world-renowned museums before traveling to Toledo, a city shaped by centuries of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim coexistence. The program then shifts east to Barcelona, where modern Catalan culture, bold architecture, and Mediterranean energy offer a striking contrast to the capital.
From flamenco and classical art to Gaudí’s masterpieces and hands-on culinary experiences, this journey allows students to experience Spain through the multiple lenses of history, art, language, and everyday city life, while building cultural awareness and confidence.
