Discover Paris and Barcelona on this 14-day teacher-led program for students studying French or Spanish. Begin in Paris with visits to the Louvre, a Seine River cruise, and a cultural activity selected by your group. Students then spend six nights with a host family in France or Spain, depending on the language they study, practicing their language skills through shared meals and everyday life. The group reunites in Barcelona to discover the city’s architecture, neighborhoods, and cultural traditions.

Price

  • $3,899 per student PLUS cost of international flights*
  • Ask about pricing to add a travel coordinator to your program.
  • For every six students, the cost of one leader is included in the price.
  • For every enrolled student on your program, there is a $50 leader stipend to help leaders offset expenses while abroad.
  • Students can save $200 with our Early Bird Discount!
    *Travelers do not need to arrange their own air. Air travel is included in the program, but the cost will be added once the group air contract is confirmed. Price is valid for 2027.

The role of the Travel Coordinator is as follows:

  • Supports the group getting to and from activities and sites
  • Manages logistics (transportation, schedule, tickets)
  • Serves as the primary on‑the‑ground support and problem‑solver
  • May provide cultural context but is not a certified academic guide
  • Supported by local guides at specific sites

Day 1 | Departure
Depart for France and begin your European language immersion adventure.
Meals Included: As served by the airline

Day 2 | Paris
Arrive in Paris and explore famous landmarks including the Arc de Triomphe, Les Invalides, and Notre-Dame before enjoying an Xperitas welcome dinner.

Day 3 | Paris
Visit the Louvre and enjoy a Seine River cruise while discovering the history and culture of the French capital.

Day 4 | Paris
Explore Montmartre and Place du Tertre with your teachers. Take part in the cultural activity selected by your group: a visit to Atelier des Lumières, a visit to the Montparnasse Tower Observatory, or a cooking workshop to prepare tarte flambée, an Alsatian specialty.

Day 5 | Family Stay
Travel to your host community and meet your host family. Students studying French stay with families in France, while students studying Spanish stay with families in Spain. Begin your six-night Family Stay Experience® with dinner and time to get acquainted.

Days 6–10 | Family Stay
Experience daily life with your host family in France or Spain. Practice French or Spanish through shared meals, conversations, and everyday activities while learning about your hosts’ routines and traditions.

Day 11 | Barcelona
Say goodbye to your host family and travel to Barcelona, where the French- and Spanish-language groups reunite. Depending on arrival times, explore La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter with your teachers.

Day 12 | Barcelona
Visit Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces, including the Sagrada Família and Park Güell, before an evening flamenco performance.

Day 13 | Barcelona
Explore Barcelona’s famous boulevards, visit the Picasso Museum, and celebrate your journey with an Xperitas farewell dinner.

Day 14 | Return
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
Meals Included: Breakfast

Important Details

Prices are based on a minimum group size of 24 students. If the minimum is not met and your group cannot be combined, a small-group supplement will apply. Final pricing is determined by confirmed dates, air arrangements, family stay communities, program components, group size, and number of leaders at final billing.

Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.

The order of itinerary items may change due to unforeseen circumstances prior to or during the program.
