Rencontres du Nord au Sud is a 12-day Educational Trip to France that combines iconic landmarks with authentic cultural immersion. From the vibrant streets of Paris to everyday life with a French host family and the sun-drenched Mediterranean coast, students experience the country from multiple perspectives while building real-world language confidence.
Students strengthen their skills through French immersion in Paris, meaningful daily interactions, balancing independent exploration with guided cultural experiences. Time spent living with a local family transforms classroom language skills into practical communication while offering genuine insight into French customs, traditions, and daily life.
From world-famous museums and historic neighbourhoods to family dinners and seaside promenades, this France student travel program encourages curiosity, cultural understanding, and lasting personal growth through immersive travel.

The role of the Travel Coordinator is as follows:
Day 1 | Departure
Depart for France and begin your journey to Paris.

Day 2 | Paris
Bienvenue en France! Begin exploring the City of Light with visits to landmarks including the Champs-Élysées, Sacré-Cœur, and the Louvre. The day concludes with a welcome dinner alongside your fellow travelers.

Day 3 | Paris
Travel by métro into the heart of Paris to discover the Latin Quarter and Place Saint-Michel before exploring historic Île de la Cité, where the city’s story first began. Enjoy free time to experience a traditional Parisian café or bistro.

Day 4 | Paris
Visit the Musée d’Orsay to admire its renowned Impressionist collection before descending into the fascinating Catacombs of Paris. End the day aboard a scenic Bateaux Mouches cruise along the Seine.

Day 5 | Family Stay
Board a train to your Family Stay community and meet your French host family. Settle into daily life as you begin an immersive cultural and language experience.

Days 6–9 | Family Stay
Live like a local while sharing meals, conversations, and everyday routines with your host family. This immersive experience allows students to develop language skills through authentic daily interactions.

Day 10 | Nice
Bid farewell to your host family and travel south to the beautiful Côte d’Azur. Spend the afternoon exploring Nice, including the Promenade des Anglais, Old Town, and lively city squares.

Day 11 | Monaco
Take a short train ride to Monaco to explore the principality, witness the Changing of the Guard, and wander the historic streets overlooking the Mediterranean. Return to Nice for a farewell dinner.

Transfer to the airport for your journey home after an unforgettable French language immersion experience.

Prices are based on a minimum group size of 10 students. If the minimum is not met and your group cannot be combined, a small-group supplement will apply. Final pricing is determined by confirmed dates, air arrangements, family stay communities, program components, group size, and number of leaders at final billing.
Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.

My son had a fantastic time. He wanted to go back before he was even home. The Family Stay Experience was great for him. Hiking, youth group, family birthday party, relaxing at the family home, hanging out with his host brother’s friends and checking out the city. He really enjoyed the complete package of this trip!
He would not have taken French for four years if this trip wasn’t planned. And now he is taking a fifth year of French. My son has always been a saver. But having to save and earn money to pay for the majority of this trip was a life-long lesson. He is hoping to visit France and other countries in the future.
For any students who are unsure about pursuing an immersion program, I can only recommend giving it a try. My trip to France with Xperitas brought a new dimension to a language and culture I hadn’t experienced firsthand. Exploring new places and cultures abroad has given me some of my best memories and best friends, and has certainly played a role in shaping my goals for the future.
