La Vie en Normandie is a 15-day Educational Trip to France that incorporates the most iconic landmarks with authentic cultural immersion. From the museums and boulevards of Paris to the historic landscapes of Normandy and daily life with a French host family, students strengthen their language skills while gaining a deeper appreciation of French history and culture.
Students experience France well beyond traditional sightseeing, using a French Immersion Program and providing authentic everyday situations while living with carefully selected host families. Along the way, visits to significant historical sites, medieval towns, and royal palaces provide meaningful connections between classroom learning and real-world experiences.
From the Louvre and Montmartre to the D-Day Beaches, Mont Saint-Michel, and the Palace of Versailles, this student travel program encourages curiosity, confidence, and lasting global perspectives.

Day 1 | Departure
Depart for France and begin your journey to Paris.
Meals Included: None
Day 2 | Paris
Arrive in Paris and begin exploring the City of Light while learning to navigate the métro and experiencing the atmosphere of local cafés, shops, and neighbourhoods. End the day with an Xperitas welcome dinner.

Day 3 | Paris
Discover masterpieces at the Louvre before continuing to the Musée d’Orsay or strolling along the Seine. Visit the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées while enjoying time to experience Paris at your own pace.

Day 4 | Paris
Explore the artistic streets of Montmartre and admire sweeping views from Sacré-Cœur before experiencing the lively Beaubourg district. Finish the day with an evening cruise along the Seine aboard the Bateaux Mouches.

Day 5 | Loire Valley
Travel through the Loire Valley to discover two of France’s most spectacular châteaux, Chambord and Chenonceau, while learning about the country’s royal heritage.

Day 6 | Normandy
Journey to Normandy to visit the historic D-Day Beaches and the Musée du Débarquement in Arromanches before viewing the remarkable Bayeux Tapestry.

Day 7 | Saint-Malo & Mont Saint-Michel
Explore the historic walled city of Saint-Malo before visiting the spectacular abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, one of France’s most iconic landmarks.

Meet your French host family and begin an immersive cultural experience filled with authentic language practice and everyday life.

Days 9–13 | Family Stay
Live like a local while sharing meals, conversations, and daily routines with your host family. Students build confidence using French in meaningful real-world situations.

Day 14 | Paris & Versailles
Return to Paris and visit the magnificent Palace of Versailles before enjoying free time in the capital. Celebrate your journey together at an Xperitas farewell dinner.

Transfer to the airport for your journey home after an unforgettable French language immersion experience.

Prices are based on a minimum group size of 24 students. If the minimum is not met and your group cannot be combined, a small-group supplement will apply. Final pricing is determined by confirmed dates, air arrangements, family stay communities, program components, group size, and number of leaders at final billing.
Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.
The order of itinerary items may change due to unforeseen circumstances prior to or during the program.
My son had a fantastic time. He wanted to go back before he was even home. The Family Stay Experience was great for him. Hiking, youth group, family birthday party, relaxing at the family home, hanging out with his host brother’s friends and checking out the city. He really enjoyed the complete package of this trip!
He would not have taken French for four years if this trip wasn’t planned. And now he is taking a fifth year of French. My son has always been a saver. But having to save and earn money to pay for the majority of this trip was a life-long lesson. He is hoping to visit France and other countries in the future.
For any students who are unsure about pursuing an immersion program, I can only recommend giving it a try. My trip to France with Xperitas brought a new dimension to a language and culture I hadn’t experienced firsthand. Exploring new places and cultures abroad has given me some of my best memories and best friends, and has certainly played a role in shaping my goals for the future.
