9-Day Program | A unique Spanish language immersion experience begins for your student group upon your arrival in San José! A Spanish-speaking, certified naturalist guide leads you through the ever-changing, natural beauty of Costa Rica. The adventure continues with ziplining through the rainforest and a visit to the local hot springs. After experiencing the natural wonders of Costa Rica first-hand, students meet their volunteer host family for five nights of pura vida. Our unforgettable Family Stay Experience® allows students to become temporary locals and appreciate the everyday Costa Rican lifestyle. Spanish language skills learned in the classroom come to life in this in-depth language immersion travel experience in Latin America. The order of this itinerary is subject to change.

Program Itinerary

Day 1 Departure
	Upon arrival in San José, transfer to your hotel.
	Included meals: Dinner

Day 2 Arenal
	Visit a local market on your way to beautiful Arenal. Paint your own traditional oxcart wheel in an artisan workshop in Sarchí.
	Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 Arenal
	Spend the morning at the majestic La Fortuna waterfall and take a dip in its refreshing waters! Then head to the beautiful organic farm where you’ll learn about the tropical plants and traditional techniques of the area. Here you will participate in a reforestation project where you will have a chance to plant a tree in your school’s honor. After that enjoy a delicious freshly made lunch. Cap off the evening with a visit to local hot springs!

Day 4 Family Stay
	Cruise through the canopies as you zipline through the trees! Then, it’s time to meet your local host family! After transfering to the family stay community you’ll be free to enjoy the afternoon and meals with your familia tica.

Day 5 - 8 Family Stay
	Enjoy meals and time with your host family.

Day 9 Return
	Transfer to the airport and head back to the United States with a lifetime of memories!
