Program Itinerary
Day 1Departure
Depart Atlanta and fly to San José. Meet your guide at the airport and make your way to your family stay community to meet your host family!

Day 2Family Stay
Have breakfast with your Tico family stay and then complete the Siberia Hike in San José, where you will get some amazing views of the ocean and so much more! Later you will enjoy dinner and time with your Tico host family.

Day 3Family Stay
After breakfast with your Tico Family, spend the day learning to make tortillas and cook Costa Rican food with local experts in the community. Then, play a game of pick up soccer, also known as una mejenga. Later enjoy dinner and spend time with your host family.

Day 4Family Stay
After breakfast with your host family you will visit a local school where you will meet and connect with students just like you! Later, feel the rhythm during salsa classes. In the evening you will eat dinner and spend time with your host family.

Day 5Family Stay
In the morning you will pick fresh fruits with your family. Then you will get to milk a cow and take a cheese making class. You will enjoy meals and time with your Tico Host Family.

Day 6Family Stay
Take part in a reforestation project and then do the Quetzal park hike. You will also enjoy time and meals with your Tico Family.

Day 7Arenal
Bid farewell to your Tico Family and travel to Arenal Volcano. Upon arrival, relax in the hot springs and take a dip in the warm, thermal waters.

Day 8Arenal
Start your day with ziplining through the treetops near the Arenal volcano. Later in the afternoon, visit an organic tropical farm where you will get to meet and enjoy lunch with local farmers. Learn about tropical crops, squeeze sugar cane juice, and more.

Day 9San José
In the morning you will go on a volcano hike. You will then transfer back to the capital San José and have a lovely dinner.
